After a decade of serving the community, the tearoom, known as Number 50 Tearoom until May 2025, closed its doors, making way for a fresh venture. Enter Nourish, a trendy new café set to delight locals with its focus on coffee, matcha, and acai.
The brains behind this exciting new establishment is Sophie Francks, daughter of the tearoom’s owner, Jodie Roberts. With hospitality in her blood, Sophie has been immersed in the world of coffee since she was just 11 years old. Her passion blossomed while working at Wootton Coffee Shop, where she introduced the popular acai bowls that have become a staple.
Sophie’s decision to leave university and pursue her dream of opening Nourish is a testament to her dedication and love for the industry. Nourish promises to offer more than just coffee and matcha; the menu will feature a delightful array of brunch and lunch options, including build-your-own acai bowls, toasties, bagels, sourdoughs, sandwiches, pancakes, and fresh smoothies.
