In Northamptonshire, the community of Priors Hall Park recently celebrated its first birthday, marking a year since leading housebuilders Barratt and David Wilson Homes returned to the Corby developments. The event, which aimed to foster a sense of community spirit and help new residents settle in, was a resounding success.

The celebration saw new residents treated to a selection of pizzas and ice creams, courtesy of Romanelli Pizzas and Tony’s Ices. The event was not just a celebration of the development’s first year back in operation, but also an opportunity for new homebuyers to get to know their neighbours.

Moving to a new area can be a daunting experience, with meeting new neighbours often cited as one of the most challenging aspects. However, events like these can help break the ice and foster a sense of community.

Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Northampton, expressed delight at the turnout and the opportunity it presented to encourage community spirit. She said, “We are immensely proud of the community we are building at Priors Hall Park and look forward to welcoming more new homebuyers in the future.”

Since their return to Corby, Barratt and David Wilson Homes have been actively involved in the local community, supporting the on-site primary school, Priors Hall ALC, with storytelling events, book donations, and art competitions.

Priors Hall Park, set amongst extensive woodland and parklands, offers easy and sustainable access to the nearby market town of Corby through its many cycle paths and walking routes. For commuters, the development provides excellent road links and train services, making it an ideal location for all.

As Priors Hall Park celebrates its first year, it’s clear that a strong sense of community is at the heart of this thriving Northamptonshire development.
