It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Northampton, especially if you’re a French Bulldog. This past weekend, around 60 of these adorable canines, donned in festive outfits, took part in the annual Christmas walk at Hunsbury Country Park. This heartwarming event, organised by Sandra Holloway, is a testament to the community spirit that thrives in our town.

Holloway, who hosts monthly walks for French Bulldogs, outdid herself this year. The Christmas walk was not only a delightful spectacle but also a charitable endeavour. The event raised funds for Phoenix French Bulldog Rescue, a cause close to many hearts in our community. The generosity of Northampton locals shone through, with donations pouring in on the online fundraising page.

The sight of French Bulldogs in Christmas outfits was a joy to behold. The dogs, along with their owners, were decked out in impressive festive attire. From Santa hats to elf costumes, the creativity on display was truly inspiring. And it wasn’t just the dogs getting into the holiday spirit. Some owners also sported matching outfits, adding to the festive fun.

Sandra Holloway shared her delight at the event’s success, saying, “It was absolutely brilliant, everyone had a fab time.” She added that the Christmas outfits didn’t stay clean for long, thanks to the excitement and the famous ‘Frenchie zoomies’. But that’s all part of the fun, isn’t it?

The annual Christmas walk was a brilliant meet-up that not only spread holiday cheer but also raised funds for a worthy cause. It’s events like these that make Northampton a special place to live, especially during the festive season. So here’s to our French Bulldogs, who’ve once again brought joy and laughter to our community. Merry Christmas, Northampton!
