Ishwari Katariya

In the heart of Northampton, a young boy is making waves in the world of academia. Kautilya Katariya, a mere 10 years old, has astoundingly achieved an A* in A-level maths, making him one of the youngest individuals in the UK to do so.

Kautilya’s affinity for numbers is nothing short of extraordinary. At the tender age of eight, he aced his GCSE maths exam with the highest possible marks. This achievement was even more impressive considering he had learned the subject online during the Covid lockdowns.

But his prowess doesn’t stop at maths. At six years old, Kautilya secured a spot in the Guinness World Records as the youngest qualified computer programmer. A prodigy indeed!

As he awaited his A-level results, Kautilya expressed a mix of excitement and nerves, hoping for an A* but prepared for an A. His tutor, Neil Trivedi, was left speechless at the young boy’s achievement, stating, “Getting this result as an 18-year-old is extremely tough, and Kautilya did it as a 10-year-old.”

Kautilya’s talents have not gone unnoticed. In 2022, he was invited to the World Government Summit in Dubai by the prime minister’s office in the UAE. There, he shared his insights on how governments could support young innovators like himself.

Despite his academic prowess, Kautilya is just like any other 10-year-old. He enjoys origami, swimming, badminton, and playing with his little brother. As for his future plans, he hopes to study A-level further maths and physics.

Northampton should be proud to be home to such a remarkable young mind. Kautilya Katariya is a shining example of the potential that lies within our youth, and we eagerly anticipate his future achievements.
