Make the school holidays unforgettable by travelling back to prehistoric times at Delapré Abbey, where Dinosaurs in the Park returns from August 16 to September 1. This thrilling event promises to be both exciting and educational, offering a unique opportunity to come face-to-face with 40 life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs.

Walk the Dino Trail

Embark on a journey through time as you navigate the Dinosaur trail, encountering different life-sized dinosaurs at every twist and turn. Marvel at the towering Brachiosaurus and feel the thrill of meeting a T-Rex up close. These realistic models from the Jurassic, Triassic, and Cretaceous periods move and make sounds, providing an immersive experience. Along the way, find the missing Palaeontologist’s tools, discover a skeleton in a giant dig, and watch baby dinosaurs hatch.

Educational Activities for Kids

Each dinosaur model is accompanied by a plaque with fascinating facts, perfect for impressing family and friends. After the trail, explore the Interactive-Zone, where you can listen to the Dinosaur Dentist share intriguing details about your favourite dinosaurs. On August 17, meet Dr Dean Lomax, a multi-award-winning palaeontologist, who will discuss his global excavations and research. On August 26, Peter Ta’Bois, AKA Dino Man, will be on hand to help identify fossils brought in by visitors.

Fun for the Family

Dinosaurs in the Park offers something for everyone. Enjoy Dinosaur 3D mapping, create your own dinosaur in the interactive studio, or play mini Dino golf. Little ones can have fun in the Dino soft play area. There are also pay-per-ride attractions like Bumper Carz and the Giant Sauropod Ferris Wheel.

Refuel in the food zone, with picnic tables, deck chairs, and a variety of food options. Bring your own picnic or enjoy family favourites from the food court.

Matt Fortet, marketing co-ordinator, shares, “We are delighted to return to Northampton. Dinosaurs are always popular, and we look forward to offering a family day out that has been 65 million years in the making!”

Don’t miss out on this roarsome adventure at Delapré Abbey this summer!
