Northampton’s Little Pooch House Celebrates a Year of Success
It’s been a year of wagging tails and happy barks for Northampton’s Little Pooch House, a unique dog care service that provides a ‘home away from home’ for our four-legged friends. Nichole Clark, the proud owner, recently celebrated her first year of success in the town, a testament to her dedication and love for dogs.
Launched in November, the Little Pooch House nestled in Abington Vale, offers boarding, walking, and sitting services for small to medium dogs. Nichole’s journey into this venture was a natural progression. Having adopted a dog five years ago and looking after others’ pets while working for a nursery, she decided to get her license and start a business.
Nichole’s approach to dog care is far from ordinary. The dogs in her care enjoy twice-weekly runs in an enclosed field, weekly visits to a dog-friendly cafe for a fuss and sausages, and plenty of walks and games at her home.
Reflecting on her business’s first birthday, Nichole expressed her pride and gratitude for the support she received from her customers. “It’s always scary starting something new, but I’ve had fantastic support from customers. They’re always happy to refer me to friends and family,” she told the Chronicle & Echo.
The Little Pooch House’s first anniversary was a joyous occasion, with around 25 people and 18 dogs coming together to mark the milestone. Nichole highlighted the importance of the strong relationships she has built with the owners and their pets.
Nichole’s future plans include extending her home to accommodate more dogs but maintaining the personal touch that sets her apart. “I don’t want it to get too big that it isn’t personal anymore. I still want the home setting and maybe to take on a team member,” she said.
Here’s to many more successful years for The Little Pooch House, a beacon of warmth and care for Northampton’s canine community.
