Celebrating a Decade of Delicious Coffee in Northampton

Gina Bartella, the proud owner of Bartella’s Coffee House on Wellingborough Road, is about to celebrate a remarkable milestone – 10 years since she first opened her doors. Reflecting on her journey, Gina describes starting the business as the “best thing” she has ever done.

Established in July 2014, Bartella’s Coffee House has become a beloved spot for locals. Gina, who previously worked at another town centre coffee shop and has a family history in the hospitality industry, found the perfect location after a couple of years of searching. Her decision to set up shop on the periphery of the town centre has paid off, with the Northampton community offering fantastic support over the past decade.

Gina’s son joined the business two years ago, adding a family touch to the already warm and welcoming atmosphere. Long-time staff members Donna and Esther, who have been with Gina since the beginning, continue to provide friendly table service and contribute to the coffee house’s success.

Bartella’s Coffee House is known for its classic breakfast, brunch, and lunch offerings, with Gina proudly baking all her cakes in-house. Customers frequently praise the reasonable prices and the all-round lovely experience.

When asked about her proudest achievement, Gina says, “The fact I’m still here and have the same staff. I’m more of a friend than a boss to them. When I’m out the back doing the food, I know I can trust the staff 100 percent.”

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary, Gina plans to decorate the coffee shop with balloons on July 16 and give out free drinks and cupcakes to regulars throughout the entire week. She wants to express her heartfelt thanks to their loyal customers, acknowledging that the business would not have survived without their continued support.
