Betty’s Caribbean Fusion, founded by Claudia Betty-Maynard, is a testament to the power of family recipes and a passion for cooking. Claudia, inspired by her mother’s culinary magic, has turned her love for cooking into a thriving business, much to the delight of her loyal customers.
Claudia’s journey began in September 2020, a time of uncertainty for many. After being furloughed and later made redundant, she took a leap of faith, encouraged by her son, to transform her culinary skills into a business. What started as a small venture offering food deliveries for dinner parties and lunch gatherings has blossomed into a beloved local business.
The menu at Betty’s Caribbean Fusion is a delightful mix of Claudia’s favourite creations. Her jerk scotch egg and jerk sausage rolls are unique takes on English classics that have won the hearts of many. The business is most recognisable for its jerk sausage roll, lemon drizzle cake, and fried chicken, which have become staple orders for her customers.
This year, Claudia expanded her offerings to include sauces and condiments, inspired by her entries in the Weetabix Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards. Her products have even caught the attention of Portfolio Catering, featuring in prestigious events.
As Betty’s Caribbean Fusion continues to grow, Claudia is excited about future innovations, including jerk chicken and vegetable pizzas and a gluten-free range.
