In the heart of Northampton, a beacon of inspiration shines brightly as Saffron Corcoran, a 29-year-old local, was recently crowned Ms Galaxy UK 2026/27. Her journey into the world of pageantry began at 16, inspired by a television programme and a desire to overcome the shadows of bullying. Fast forward 13 years, and Saffron’s life is a testament to the transformative power of pageantry.

Saffron’s story is one of resilience and empowerment. After coming second in the competition last year, just seven months postpartum, she returned with renewed vigour, proving that determination knows no bounds. Her daughters, Sophia and Mabel, are growing up with a role model who embodies the spirit of perseverance and ambition.

But for Saffron, pageantry is more than glitz and glamour. It’s a platform for charity work, supporting causes like Baby Basics Northampton, and a gateway to lifelong friendships. “It’s less about wearing a pretty dress and a crown,” she shares, highlighting the community and camaraderie she’s found among fellow contestants, who range from doctors to soldiers.

Saffron’s journey has taken her from London to Northampton, and across the globe to places like France and Florida. Her story resonates with many in our community, showing that life’s changes are not barriers but opportunities for growth. As a single mum, she’s redefining what it means to be strong and independent, inspiring not just her daughters but all of us in Northampton.

At James Anthony, we celebrate stories like Saffron’s that enrich our community. Her journey reminds us of the vibrant spirit that makes Northampton a wonderful place to call home.
