William, a local lad from Northampton, has been dubbed the “real life Billy Elliot” as he embarks on an extraordinary journey at the Royal Ballet School. Out of thousands of hopefuls, William was one of just 12 talented individuals selected to join this esteemed institution. His story is not only one of talent but also of perseverance, as he overcomes academic challenges linked to his ASD and ADHD.

Starting his dance journey seven years ago, William has shown remarkable dedication, mastering various dance styles to enhance his versatility. His talent shone brightly when he performed in The Nutcracker at the Royal Albert Hall, a pivotal moment that propelled him to apply for secondary education at the Royal Ballet School.

His mother, Pia, highlights the significance of the support William has received. With the backing of West Northamptonshire Council, William has had a teaching assistant by his side, ensuring he thrives in his new environment. This support has been crucial, allowing him to embrace this opportunity without the worry of coping alone.

Now boarding at White Lodge in Richmond Park, William is set to complete his GCSEs and graduate with a ballet degree by the age of 18. His dreams of joining a dance company and travelling the world are within reach, and he eagerly anticipates exploring his contemporary style.

As we celebrate William’s achievements, it’s a reminder of the incredible talent within our community. At James Anthony, we’re proud to support local stories like William’s, showcasing the vibrant spirit of Northampton. Whether you’re buying, selling, or simply curious about the local scene, we’re here to help you find your next chapter.
