Northampton’s Fireworks Spectacular: A Night to Remember
Get ready, Northampton! The town council has unveiled exciting details about the annual FREE fireworks display at The Racecourse, set to light up our skies on Saturday, November 2.
This year, the beloved event will be hosted by none other than BBC Radio Northampton’s Bernie Keith. Known for his wit and charm, Bernie is sure to keep the crowd entertained throughout the evening.
But that’s not all! The popular local covers band, Whiteroom, will be there to perform singalong favourites, setting the stage for the Live Performers’ fire and pyrotechnic show. As the countdown begins, expect a spectacle of light and sound that will leave you in awe.
Councillor Jane Birch, chair of the council’s community services committee, expressed her excitement about the event, saying, “The annual fireworks spectacular is a beloved tradition in our community, and we are excited to bring new elements each year.”
The event is not just about the fireworks. The Northamptonshire Gunpowder Plot Story will play on big screens throughout the evening, reminding us of the historical significance of Guy Fawkes Night. This film, specially commissioned by NTC and produced by Northampton Film Festival, features local actors, artists, and locations, adding a touch of local flavour to the evening.
And let’s not forget the fun fair rides, face painting, and a variety of food and drink stalls. There’s something for everyone, making it a perfect family outing.
The evening will culminate in a spectacular pyro-musical fireworks finale at 6pm. So, mark your calendars and visit The Racecourse. After all, entry is free!
