This April, Northampton becomes a gaming paradise with GamesWorld, a thrilling event celebrating 50 years of video gaming history.
Families and friends, get ready to dive into the world of video games at the Royal & Derngate’s Underground Studio from April 18th to 20th. GamesWorld is set to be a nostalgic journey through gaming history, featuring 100 consoles that span five decades. From Atari to Sega, Playstation to Xbox, and NES to Wii, this event promises a delightful trip down memory lane.
Whether you’re itching to challenge your mates to a Mario Kart race or eager to experience the latest in Virtual Reality, GamesWorld has something for everyone. It’s not just about revisiting the classics; it’s also a chance to explore the cutting-edge of gaming technology.
Sessions are 90 minutes long, starting at 10am, 12 noon, 2pm, and 4pm each day, with all-day passes available for those who can’t get enough. Tickets are affordably priced at £5 for adults and £4 for children aged five to 16. For those seeking a more exclusive experience, Saturday night offers an adults-only session at 7pm, complete with a welcome drink and pizza buffet for £20.
