Diane and Steve Gee, originally from Northampton and now living in Cyprus, have embarked on a delightful journey, jiving in 100 extraordinary locations worldwide. In celebration of Diane’s 60th birthday, their dance escapades have taken them to 15 countries, from the heights of Machu Picchu to the iconic Eiffel Tower, and even at 37,000 feet on a flight to Dubai.

Their adventure began with sea lions in Chile and continued with a daring dance on a submarine in France. They even braved the icy winds of the Falklands, jiving in front of bemused penguins to the tune of “Cold as Ice.” Each location added a new twist to their journey, whether it was twirling around Dubai’s skyscrapers or skipping across the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix circuit.

Diane, a retired headteacher, shares how their jiving journey began: a casual suggestion from a friend visiting Cyprus turned into a global challenge. Initially aiming for 60 locations, they soon upped the ante to 100, turning their passion into a charitable cause for Macmillan Cancer Support and Cyprus Alzheimer’s Association.

Their dance floor knows no bounds—from a catamaran to a 3,500-year-old wine cave in Cyprus, and even a hay bale (safety helmets included). Their 100th jive in Sri Lanka was a thrilling capstone, dancing near crocodiles in a national park.

At James Anthony Estate Agents, we admire such zest for life and community spirit. Whether you’re looking to buy or sell a home, we’re here to support your journey, just as Diane and Steve have inspired us with theirs. Here’s to more adventures and the joy of dancing through life!
