Celebrating a Decade of Dog Delight
In the heart of Northampton, Pamper My Poochie is wagging its tail with pride as it approaches a decade of pampering pooches. Founded in July 2016 by the passionate Jules Guy, this dream business has blossomed into a haven for holistic dog spa treatments, dental care, and even a delightful wedding chaperone service for our four-legged friends.
Jules, who has been devoted to working with dogs since she was just 11, identified a unique gap in the market. She realised that many dog owners were missing out on weddings because their furry companions couldn’t attend. With this insight, Pamper My Poochie was born, and it has been warmly embraced by the community ever since.
The business has grown steadily, with the opening of a grooming salon on Gloucester Avenue in 2021, offering spa treatments and a range of pet products. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and the team has expanded with new members, groomer Ashton and spa assistant Lucy, joining the ranks.
Despite the challenges of increasing outgoings and the complexities of planning permission, Jules remains optimistic about the future. Her campaign to reclassify dog grooming businesses to make expansion easier has gained support from local MP Mike Reader, showcasing her dedication to the industry.
Pamper My Poochie isn’t just about grooming; it’s about community. Their social dog walks, like the upcoming Christmas jumper walk at Upton Country Park, bring dog lovers together in festive spirit.
As we at James Anthony celebrate local successes, we admire Jules’ dedication and vision. Her journey is a testament to the vibrant and supportive community we cherish in Northampton.
